i am pretty sure that if you were planning for a wedding .. that is about to happen.. you must be really stressed by now.. like I am.  Sure things are falling into its places.. but not everything right..??  You still can’t confirm the guest list.. and you can’t decide on the flower.. and now the brides maids are calling up to say.. that they may not be able to come.. due to personal reasons.

And what about the demanding outlaws.. who insist.. that you listen to her… or her sisters..?? Arrrrghhhhh..!! yes.. you agree with me eh.   So what do one do..??  You can’t please everyone.. that’s lesson #1 .. so what I suggest.. is for the spouse to be supportive.. come up with some common consensus.. and not make the wife think that she has to take care of everything .. and every issue.  Step up .. husbands…!!! and tell the wife .. that you will take care of your parents.. and she will take care of hers.  A wedding is to be enjoyed..now .. breath in.. and breath out.. and go for a spa.

Not you .. silly.. your spouse.  Yes.. while you are busy planning your wedding .. you might be ignoring your spouse.. and pushing him to another woman’s arm.. who may be more fun than you are.. at this very moment.  Yes.. that’s the cheating spouse’s common excuse.  And if i could do it every time.. when i hear such excuse from anyone.. i would definitely smack them.

While your friends and family can see the cheating signs.. most spouses can’t .. because they are way too busy planning their dream wedding.  So if you are putting too much time and energy into your perfect wedding.. now is the time to stop and reflect.  Weddings can be simpler .. and less perfect.. but once you ignore your spouse.. and send him to another woman’s arm.. there will be no wedding.

So g/fs .. the truth is harsh.. but once he starts cheating on you .. that’s it.. it will come back again.. even after the perfect wedding.  So now is the time.. to sit back.. and think.. of what you really want.

So you want a wedding but don’t want to pay a fortune for it.  Can’t really say i blame you .. eh..??  who wants to start a life together.. with debt.  Instead of decorating the church with flowers.. why not try balloons.  Balloons are cheap.. and they are easily gotten.. and a few $1 air pump.. you are on your way to a beautiful church decorated in white and pink balloons .. to welcome the bride.

Plus one can get a neighbour who has a garden full of blooms.. to help with the wedding bouquet.. as well as the corsages for the bridal entourage.  I am sure.. some old lady .. would find the task welcoming for their mundane routine.  There are many things you can save on… if you think about it.  Weddings need not be expensive.. you can always think of cool ideas.. and a friend who is good with her hands.. is always good to have around.  Exploit that friend.. muahahahha!!

Many ppl wonder how do one come up with all the money for the wedding.  In Asia.. you will have no problem recovering all the upfront money that you had spent .. because money gifts are the “in” thing.  Now if you are planning a wedding in the West.. it’s quite different altogether.

Gifts from friends and family.. are the most likely things you are going to get, although we still prefer to give cash to the new couple .. to help them out .. on their wedding expenses.  So what do one do.. ??  well, you start saving immediately.. and plan for your wedding a year in the future.. that way it gives you plenty of time.. to put aside some money.. without you and the man living on bread and water alone.

1)  Put away a portion of your pay .. into this wedding fund.  Both of you gotta put in the same amt of money.. so that there will be no resentment in the future.

2)  Some ppl recommend a personal loan.  I don’t really recommend it for those who cannot stay on top of the game… and cannot control your expenditures.

3)  Although, i know i told you in the beginning that money is not really practice here for gifts.. you can still make this request for cash .,. from close friends and relatives.  If they are anything like me.. i would definitely prefer to give money.. donch have to waste time.. and effort buying something the couple need and want.

Who says woman are bad drivers?  We know all about saving fuel too yer know.

• Accelerate gently.  Half of the gas confumption in the city driving happens during acceleraton.
• Don’t forget to remove the roof rack and reduce the load when the ski season is over
• This one every woman would know is to enrol in a rewards program.  Get those points!!!  Petro-Canada points, Canadian Tire Money or just airmiles from your gas station.

I check my  tires at least once a month and watch for wear because an under-inlated tire increases fuel consumption.  So if you are taking the car out for the day or pumping gas, get the gas boy to help for they are so ready to assist and help out a damsel in distress.

Is there a perfect timing to buy a car..??  or a used one?  When we first bought our new car, we were so silly wanting the latest and best.  But how often do you get to use all the features in the car except if you lived on the road.  So now if we want to buy a car, it is mostly likely a used one and it would be best to get one that is just coming outta a lease.  A domestic min-van cost about $28K but one that has undergone a leasing for the last 3 – 4 yrs will probably be yours for $11K, that means more than 50% off.  So if you are looking to get a second car for the house like myself, check out what i said.

Back home we called it pay by installments, here in the West, they called it Rent To Own.  As a mother of just one kid, I know how expensive it is to give the kid the best.  And if you are a mother of many kids, well, it sometimes can get overwhelming when all the kids wants the exact same things as his/her siblings.

For example, if you are not sure whether your kid’s new found fascination with the violin is going to last, you can check with the music stores if they offer rental plans for new and used instruments.  You might even offset the rental fee paid against the purchase if you choose to buy it in the end.  There are also other rental possiblities and as a smart mom, before you go running out and buying all sorts, check to see if they do rental camping equipment, skates and skis.  It sure saved me lots.
